Relevant rules

Parties that meet the eligibility requirements for Track 1 can set their own requirements for verification of emission reductions, as set out in 9/CMP.1, Annex, paragraph 23.

The verification process is set out in 9/CMP.1, Annex, paragraphs 37-38.

The AIE conducts the verification and submits the Joint Implementation verification report form (F-JI-VRep).

The appraisal of the verification report prepared by the AIE is conducted by the JISC according to the Procedures for appraisals of determinations under the verification procedure under the Joint Implementation Supervisory Committee.  This report is made public in accordance with the Procedures on public availability of documents under the verification procedure under the Joint Implementation Supervisory Committee and the Clarification regarding the public availability of documents under the verification procedure under the Joint Implementation Supervisory Committee.

If no review of the verification report is requested within 15 days, the verification is deemed final, as set out in 9/CMP.1, Annex, paragraph 39.

A fee is payable on determination, as set out in the Provisions for the charging of fees to cover administrative costs relating to the activities of the Joint Implementation Supervisory Committee.
